Runs the real Linkbeat lookup on a sample Spotify song and shows what your phone would end up with. Nothing is sent to anyone.

    Open Shortcuts and make a new one

    Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap the + in the top right.

    Add an empty Text action

    Tap Search Actions, type Text, then tap the action named Text. Leave this first Text action empty for now.

    Enable the share sheet

    Swipe the action picker down, then tap the ⓘ button in the editor’s bottom toolbar. In Details, turn on Show in Share Sheet. It is not in the menu beside New Shortcut.

    Choose URLs if iOS asks

    If you see Share Sheet Types, Receive, or content-type icons, leave URLs on and turn the others off. If you do not see any of these, just continue — that is normal on newer iOS versions.

    Build the Linkbeat address

    Tap inside the empty Text action and enter the address shown above. Put the cursor immediately after the equals sign, then choose Shortcut Input from the variable suggestions above the keyboard.

    Add Get Contents of URL

    Tap Search Actions, type Get Contents, and tap Get Contents of URL. It should use the Text result automatically.

    Add Copy to Clipboard

    Tap Search Actions, type Copy, and tap Copy to Clipboard. It should use the Contents of URL result.

    Add Show Notification (optional)

    Tap Search Actions, type Notification, tap Show Notification, and set the text to Copied — ready to paste.

    Name it Linkbeat Copy

    Tap New Shortcut ▾, choose Rename, enter Linkbeat Copy, then tap Done.

    Use it

    In Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube, tap Share and tap Linkbeat Copy. Then open any chat and paste.

Once it runs, Linkbeat looks up the song, builds the share page and drops you on it — just tap Copy share link and send it.
